Philanthropy

I have been active in community service and giving since childhood. I achieved the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest rank attainable in the Boy Scouts of America, through hard work and participation in countless community service projects. This personal outreach continued throughout college and medical school. Today, my family and I donate our time and skills to many charities.

I have been a volunteer physician at the Open Door Health Center since 1996. My staff also runs a Thanksgiving food drive every year for the patients at the Clinic. I was awarded Volunteer Physician of the Year in 2002 in Miami-Dade County. My wife offers her legal skills in pro bono work. My children's latest charity effort is LaptopRehab. This initiative strives to provide computers (both desktops and laptops) to needy students and families at Jewish Adoption and Foster Care Options JAFCO, the Open Door Health Center and Safe Space. Go to www.LaptopRehab.com for more information and to arrange a donation.

We believe in giving by doing. Need never takes a vacation.
